Our team members

Maud has been running an internship with us for six months now. We are very happy with that, because we have gained a driven force. She's enthusiastic, brings out the best in herself and comes up with new great ideas for our platform TeamNow. And hey, did we mention we're super happy to have female IT staff in our Cloud team? When we asked Maud to share something about her past internship, she just kept talking... Are you reading along?

Looking for my own ceiling - out of my comfort zone

Maud says: Anton, the owner of TeamValue, was clear from the start. He asked me if I wanted to learn something specific or if I wanted to be involved in the whole development process? The latter of course! So that's what happened. I did research, started coding, got directly involved in collecting feedback and now I'm sparring a lot with colleague Xander about the data model behind the management game TeamNow. I'm involved in the process from beginning to end. Oh, and I often present the demo with intermediate results. Want to know more? Yes, there is more!

Presenting. If you asked me that the first week of my internship, I looked at you like you had gone crazy. No but really, that's not my biggest hobby, and probably never will be. But I have come to appreciate it more and more. Anton, the founder of TeamValue, asked me in the second part of my internship to give a demo every week about the status of the product. My first demo was not the best. Afterwards, I received good and valuable feedback from my colleagues. I wanted to give a demo that was interesting for everyone, also for people without an IT background. After a conversation with Hendrik, Cloud Solution Architect at TeamValue, I came up with the idea to give the demo in a different form, namely a drawing. This way I could not only present the facts and the process, but also explain to my colleagues why. By now every demo has its own drawing.

I like a challenge and I want to achieve my goals. That is what typifies the colleagues at TeamValue and why it clicks so well. Through the sharingsessions, the practice and everything I get to learn (including getting my 'Professional Scrum Developer' certificate) I can say that I have become a lot more confident of my Software Development knowledge and the use of Scrum.

Internship assignment - the further development of TeamNow

At TeamValue we combine the world of Cloud Applications, Business Intelligence and Agile Coaching. That's what made this assignment so interesting from the very first moment. During my first internship, I worked with TeamNow's Data Source. In the second period, I'm going to look at how I can directly deploy a virtual coach based on data from Azure DevOps. This means that users can get tips and tricks directly from the system.

My education asks for an internship in which I learn how to make an application. However, at TeamValue I quickly found out that there is so much more. We share knowledge. I come to get something, but also to bring something. I am really involved in the practical side of things and don't just come to 'tick off' my internship assignment. What I produce is taken seriously and is actually used. Soon in an updated version of the tool for customers, but also internally during our Rockefeller quarterly games. I learn every day.

Internship Cloud Development

TeamValue is an organisation that you don't often come across. Its way of working is unique. You notice that as a customer, but certainly also as an employee and therefore also as a trainee. Because as a full employee, yes, that is how I feel. There is always room for asking questions, we celebrate special moments and we continue to meet each other (even in times of corona) online or in very small groups (at a distance).

Are you planning on applying for a job at this great company? I have a tip for you: think about what you want to develop in. And I don't just mean in the field of IT, but also in the field of soft skills. We work in a world that revolves around technology. Code is fun, but also try to challenge yourself in the area of soft skills. Become the IT professional of the future. Good at your job and great to work with.
