Tell me, who are you? Hi, my name is Gert-Jan. As of September 2022, I am part of the TeamValue 'Ohana' (means family). I am doing this as an Agile Coach. For example, in my previous assignment I focused on coaching an organizational development, a migration of IT departments to one software platform team, coinciding with the cloud transition to Azure. I am also often involved in developing and training a new team in the scrum rhythm.

In addition, I coach and train employees internally. All in all, plenty of fun stuff. And I enjoy that. Not only my work. But also my colleagues often put a smile on my face.  

A typical day of Gert-Jan

As an Agile Coach, I start each day with a daily stand-up. On days we work from home, we do this online. During this session, we discuss what's on the agenda that day. I then have multiple touch points, such as management meetings, team and scrum events, and one-on-one meetings with colleagues. I also provide appropriate training to further grow the teams and can be found on the shop floor a lot to have conversations around the progress and dynamics in the teams.  

In my daily work, I love to connect with people. My goal is to remove all resistance in the team. In doing so, it is essential to discover what is going on and what we are up against. As an organization, as a team or as individuals. How do I do this? By talking to each other. And that is not just business. Informal conversations on the shop floor also provide connection.  

Enjoying work and colleagues

As I said, I enjoy the things I do at TeamValue. There are specific moments that are special to me. One of those "oh yeah" moments is when the team organizes a scrum event independently, after I have trained them and demonstrated it. I really love that! It confirms that I've helped the team one step further. That's what you do it for, right!

Together you can really add value. Thanks to the collaboration with energetic colleagues, we strive for optimal IT solutions and organizational change for our clients. Moreover, we encourage each other to make progress. When I look at my own development, I notice that I no longer look at the assignment alone, but rather place it within the context of The Golden Path. For the coming year I have drawn up a growth plan in which clear goals have been set for obtaining certificates and keeping up with market knowledge. This will allow me to continue my development in a focused way.

Energetic is the appropriate word

How I would describe TeamValue? I'm sure it wouldn't be the last time I'm going to mention this word, but as very energetic. I find that so fitting for TeamValue. The organization really exudes personality, fun and energy. Everyone wants to grow. And we go the extra mile together. I love that everything happens with a touch of fun.
