Our team members

It's in our name. We want to deliver value for business and IT. Together. Together with the team. Says Xander: ''We are not called TeamValue instead of I-Value for nothing''. We often hear that it is our people who make the difference. Their drive, passion for technology and way of working. Where this 'way of work' comes from, how we work together and want to continuously deliver value? You should have been there, but below you will find a 'report' of our team day.

Trust & accountability shape strong teams

Yes, it was finally possible again! Getting together physically with the whole team. What a need everyone had. On Friday morning we were welcomed at Erfgoed Bossem in Lattrop-Breklenkamp, near the German border. Colleagues came from Groningen, Friesland, Utrecht, Zwolle, Amsterdam and everything in between. A diverse group of not all like-minded people. That is what typifies our team and what makes us so strong. To keep our team strong we have the necessary calls in the agenda, we have Ke Akamua's (moments of connection and improvement with the team) and our well-known team days. Trust and responsibility are central to this. We are there for each other. Not only within our work, but also when things are not going so well. We also talk about our Ohana (which means family in Hawaiian). Of course we don't mean that as directly as it might sound, but we do belong together. We are a team.

The team day - Feedback & Boxing

Once we arrived at the farm, we saw other teams already bootcamping. We thought: what are we actually going to do? After the first cup of coffee we went into the heritage and expressed expectations to each other. There are also some new team members again so for them the perfect opportunity to immediately taste the atmosphere and get to know each other really well. We talked about adding value, about a blind spot that everyone has, what each other's strengths and weaknesses are, we thought about how you see yourself and how you think another person sees you. A very uncomfortable exercise to look at each other without saying anything, if we do say so ourselves.... But it does bring cool insights and also immediately reaffirmed our culture and core values. We see that reflected in all team members. That's great to see! After the lunch it was time for boxing! Listening, feeling, taking in, looking at the other, giving and taking feedback and just being physically busy and getting out of your head.

Oxygen for your team - using the 'feedback loop' in everything we do

We know: professional and personal development go hand in hand. The two need each other, just as business and IT need each other. There are endless situations in which you can use the feedback loop, but we often don't give it enough thought in daily practice. A compliment or a simple feedback moment is easy to grab with a little attention. But when do you really pay attention to each other? When do you make time for that? During the team days this was the central issue! And what did that look like? After some theory about Lencioni's pyramid and 'talk-act-square', inspired by Defence, we started giving feedback. In three rounds you received valuable feedback from your colleagues that you can also use after the team days. Because we believe: whoever makes himself better, also makes the team better and vice versa. Feedback is oxygen for your team.

Team spirit strengthened - looking ahead together

A full-day program on the Friday. We closed satisfied and there were drinks and dinner waiting for us. Delicious fresh products from our own farm. The evening program continued with "The Knows" & Ranking the Stars. Everyone during our 3rd quarter Rockefeller game had the task of collecting some facts about each other. Something another colleague didn't already know about that person. Super fun to do and sometimes a serious note. Also 'Ranking the Stars aka the team members' was very popular. Who survives best on a desert island? Who could be the first to invent 'the new light'? Who do you ask for the most honest clothing advice? After Franka's top presentation it was time for mini karaoke and for some of us to look at the stars in advance, as we slept in a star cube on the heritage. All in all, top days that we look back on well and especially look forward with each other.

Collaboration with our neighbors Inn-spiration

Inn-spiration has been there from the beginning. Our team days are challenging and connecting in part because of them. We share that passion for strengthening cooperation. And let them be our neighbors in Zwolle. 1+1=3. And in this case it really is. From the same open culture, drive for development and the value of coaching, we have been working together for a number of years. That made this year again that we had two Inn-spiration team days. Inn-spiration closed the day: you really are a team you want to belong to!
