Onboarding at TeamValue

My onboarding at TeamValue? The start was fantastic, on 1 November TeamValue was the match sponsor of PEC Zwolle - Ajax. As a "Studio Sport supporter" of Ajax (I have visited some matches) I had the opportunity to attend the match PEC - Ajax live. Together with Anton we had a nice guestlist of partners (Microsoft and Caesar Group) and current and new customers (Allego, KPMG, KPN and VConsyst). With a group of 9 people we enjoyed the match and I experienced that you can cheer at a goal of Ajax on the Business tribune in the Mac3Stadion. Our guests had a great time and as a (new) TeamValue employee I saw a lot and learned from the many nice conversations.

TeamValue and PEC Zwolle

That evening, I saw a parallel with PEC Zwolle. Anton loves football, and that is putting it mildly. He explains the link between football and TeamValue as follows: football says a lot about how we look at organisations, everyone has his or her speciality within a team. During the competition there are moments of success and moments of adversity, the strength of the team is responding to changing circumstances.

Working in a team (or team) requires mutual trust, insight into the game and thinking under high pressure. The game is ultimately won by the team that can anticipate best. That game fascinates us and we also play it at TeamValue.

A team - blindly trusting each other

That evening I also saw a parallel between TeamValue and Ajax; the fun of playing at Ajax and the way they can (blindly) find each other is also reflected in TeamValue. Two of our core values are that we have fun and that we take ownership and there I see a parallel with Ajax.

I enjoy working on Fridays when everyone is at the office in Zwolle and asking each other the right questions with the will to win. I notice that I get into my car full of energy on Friday afternoons to enjoy the weekend.

Providing training to the Azure DevOps Onboard & Plan team and assignment at ING

During the month of November, I continued my assignment at ING and also had the opportunity to visit the Bucharest office for the Azure DevOps Onboard & Plan team. The result was a change from training sessions of 10 people maximum per session and one per day to 3 sessions of 52 people of which 2 in one day. Where in the Netherlands we were seated in a small room, in Bucharest part of the department was there for 4 days for the training. A very nice experience to give a training to such a large group. I spontaneously gained respect for teachers with groups of 30 people. Besides that, a visit to Bucharest and the limited things I saw there was also very nice! If you ever go to Bucharest and you have time for a good coffee, I can recommend the coffee shop El Padre Coffee Shop & Roastery (Strada Aviator Popișteanu 57 in Bucharest).

More than just a job

At TeamValue I feel more than at home and I also make use of the fringe benefits such as the use of the gym. Like many of my colleagues, Fit20 ZwolleHanzeland puts me to work for 20 minutes on Friday mornings to bring my body and mind into balance. After that exercise I take the lift instead of the stairs to the 4th floor 😊
