"After my onboarding experience, the first few weeks at TeamValue, the first 100 days are already over. And how quickly those first three months have flown by! Business Developer Marco van der Steijle talks more about his assignment at ING, the growth of TeamValue, the intensive collaboration with Microsoft and why he is so behind the BizDevOps model.

My job at ING

My work as a Trainer and onboarding consultant for Azure DevOps at ING also took me to Madrid and Nuremberg, where I was able to bring Azure DevOps to the attention of these local teams. The teams went home with tips & tricks on how to apply Azure DevOps in the ING practice. The team I work for has now trained almost 500 ING engineers (Dev, Ops and Product Owners) and we'll be continuing the training in the coming months. ING's idea fits in perfectly with TeamValue's Golden Path proposition. Want to know more about the possibilities and how we can help your organization with the Golden Path? I would be happy to discuss it with you.

I really enjoy my assignment at ING, the feedback from the engineers is positive AND I get to see new places! In addition, I can use the knowledge and skills in the field of international work and about DevOps gained in the past and add to them so that I continue to develop.

TeamValue - home in Zwolle

To grow TeamValue we are also optimizing a number of processes. For example, we've implemented the Rockefeller Habits internally so that we can better understand the 'rocks' we need to get out of the way in a quarter to continue growing. In the meantime, we've set up our BHAG/GDD (Big Hairy Audacious Goal/Greater Brave Goal) and for the first quarter we've come up with a fun game to meet our goals. It's great to see that everyone wants to win this game with their team and at the same time not lose sight of the bigger picture and company interests by (continuing to) help each other. At TeamValue we believe in gamification. As a Business Developer, we use it at our customers through the use of TeamNow. But also internally, we don't shy away from the challenge.

For Anton, as founder of TeamValue, it sometimes takes some getting used to the new structure. It does help the team to focus and to maintain. Last year, we celebrated our fifth anniversary. And we work very hard together to add another 5 years to that.

What I as a Business Developer like about the Rockefeller strategy is the reasoning behind the long term (3+ years) back to annual and quarterly objectives and as a result of that breaking down objectives and actions into small chunks so that it remains manageable and results are easier to see. All in all a very nice method for me to structure our growth strategy.

Collaboration with Microsoft

The partnership with Microsoft has enabled us to take further steps forward and the cooperation has become even more intensive and stronger. Since the end of January we are listed in the OCP-Catalog (One Commercial Partner Catalog), the internal site for commercial employees at Microsoft where solutions and service types of partners are listed. In several meetings with Mahsoon Asif from Microsoft's Cloud Enablement Desk, we discussed all the relevant information (what is our USP, which customers do we have, which customer "signals" are clues for Microsoft sellers to engage TeamValue etc.), got sharp and made it available. The plan now is to make our target group more specific, for this we will start conversations with Microsoft Corp. More info about our partnerships can be found on our website.

My experience as a former Microsoft employee helps in getting in and also in hitting the right tone in the conversations. Of course the quality of our organization and the follow-up is at least as important and I have 1000% confidence in that.

BizDevOps projects

At TeamValue we work on BizDevOps projects at our customers. We make sure they get insight in the status and maturity of their teams, we help them build pipelines and combine data with intuition. We are convinced that in this way we help our customers in a sustainable way so that the "business" is always in control. Feeling and data (read facts) always form a combination for a successful organization and we help with business transformation to be ready for the future. We always deliver value where (reduction of) costs are never lost from sight.

I feel very much at home in this organisation and I enjoy my work as a Business Developer. On to another 100 great days! Would you like to know more about us? Or would you like to become part of our team? Please contact me or take a look at https://jobs.teamvalue.com/.
