The reason for the collaboration is the development of Generic Permit System (GPS): a new SaaS application for municipalities to apply for, manage and issue permits. This cloud application replaces existing on-premise applications. Qualogy and TeamValue developed a roadmap to prepare on-premise Java applications for a Microsoft Azure Cloud distribution.
From Java on-premise to the cloud
Manager Qualogy Solutions Steven Sharma: "Organizations want to get rid of on-premise systems that are difficult to connect and manage and they don't want any downtime of business-critical applications. But on-premise Java applications can't be moved to the cloud overnight. Qualogy has the knowledge and experience to make such applications cloud-ready. We are happy to use this knowledge and experience to unburden organizations.
At the same time, we are also taking a different approach to application management. Not in the traditional way, but based on Modern Service Management. With a push of a button we get a new release ready, without any downtime."
Business value comes first, technology supports
CEO TeamValue Anton Cnossen: "Organisations want to deliver more often, with higher quality and on a scalable manner. With minimal overhead costs. Customers also need a reliable architecture. As a result of our partnership with Microsoft, we have extensive experience in building SaaS applications based on Microsoft Azure. Add to that the 'One Button Deploy' principle and you are working towards a future-proof IT architecture. Completely auditable according to the latest ISO-standards.
The business value of the GPS application is paramount, the technology supports it. The user of the application is therefore central. A user portal for citizens did not exist based on the self-service principle. This is now also fully in the cloud. This way municipalities and citizens determine which functionalities are implemented in the technology."
GPS project as proof of value
Qualogy and TeamValue see the GPS project as the proof of value that the two technology stacks go well together. The project is just one example of how Java applications connect to the Microsoft Azure platform. Organizations looking to bring their on-premise Java applications to the cloud will benefit from Qualogy and TeamValue's proven collaboration.
Iron-clad cooperation
With the cooperation Qualogy and TeamValue break old patterns and make optimal use of each other's knowledge of the various technology stacks. The result is a strong collaboration. Qualogy and TeamValue found in each other a good, critical and equal partner whereby a bridge has been built between the business and IT.
