How would you describe the company culture now that you have been a part of this for some time?
There is a very nice family atmosphere at TeamValue! It is clearly noticeable that the colleagues know each other well, which makes it a fun and familiar environment. I like to see how everyone knows how to find each other at the headquarters in Zwolle, despite doing different jobs. Combined with the endless enthusiasm and ideas of colleagues, it makes for a cozy and tad chaotic work environment.
How do you notice?
Here at TeamValue, it is quite normal to call a colleague for advice, questions for help or just to let your hair down. Everyone, but really everyone, is involved, open to everything and happy to think along. That typifies TeamValue enormously.
Can you talk a little about your onboarding process?
The welcome was incredibly fun! Signing the contract was already a party with colleagues. This makes you feel very welcome right away. Besides, it makes the first day at work a lot easier.
What did your first day look like?
You get plenty of time at TeamValue to land well. You don't have to be bored, because I could immediately start working on internal assignments, including the further development of the Data Hub and the automation of internal processes. I found this a very nice start. This way I was at the head office in Zwolle a lot, got to know the colleagues and the course of events in the organization.
Were you able to deliver "value" right away in your first few weeks?
Yes, definitely. I felt taken seriously right from the first week. My opinion was sought and I was immediately included in issues at hand. Internal processes were also adjusted when I ran into them. As soon as you speak up, people listen and take action. That makes it an open and honest organization.
How soon did you start on your first job?
After I landed a bit internally, I was able to start working at Alliade after just six weeks together with a colleague. This combination of an internal assignment going over to a client assignment was really a top start!
Why are TeamValue's consultants different from others?
As a consultant at TeamValue, you don't just go to the customer to work on the help question. Instead, we learn to ask questions from TeamValue, such as "Why do you want this solution? With this, we are looking for the question behind the question and how we can actually take this customer a step further.
These expectations of our efforts are discussed in detail prior to the client, which makes it incredibly fun for us as consultants.
How much freedom do you experience within your assignment?
Both TeamValue and the client give us a lot of freedom to shape our own assignment. As long as we always put the interests of; helping the customer further first. We regularly hook up with colleagues from TeamValue, which provides an extra dimension within the field. This means that, as a Data Engineer, I not only take on technical issues, but also work on processes, organization, data and BI.
Why did you choose TeamValue at the time?
At the time, I was searching for jobs online and was specifically looking for an employer where I could work as a Data Engineer in consulting. TeamValue clearly stood out for me. It's a small group of colleagues, everyone with their own expertise. That really appealed to me. After the pleasant conversations, my enthusiasm for this club had only grown.
Would you recommend others to apply here as well?
Absolutely! Besides being a fun club with great colleagues, TeamValue is also an organization that likes to think with you, listen and get the best out of you. You are challenged, you get the space to be yourself and to develop further. Nothing is too crazy here! So if you still have doubts after reading this interview, have a coffee.
